Wild Boar with piglets

Our pigs are outstanding in the field!

All pigs are free range, are kept in family groups and are allowed to naturally wean their piglets. Their living is completely natural and free from hormones, growth promotors and antibiotics. The pigs are free range throughout their lives, allowing for proper muscle and tissue build-up and the all important skin, which produces the cracking like you remember from childhood. They have sheds for shelter, and build nests, called cauldrons, in the long grass to farrow, and create pig shaped depressions in damp places for wallowing in mud.

There is nothing finer after a working day to sit in the field with the pigs, the sun dipping behind the hills, watching the piglets play tag, and scratching the sows when they come and flop down at your feet, gently grunting and telling you about their day.
